In the diagram shown here notice that the corresponding parts of these two triangles are congruent. As shown by the marks on each triangle.For example angle S is congruent to angle Y, because each angle is marked by an arc. Then angle R is congruent to angle angle Z because it is marked with two arc and so on. Similairly side RS is congruent to side YZ since it is marked with one hash mark and so on. Since we know all the parts are congruent we then know that all the triangles themselves are congruent. However we need to be careful when making our congruent statements. In other words you have to make sure that the corresponding parts are matched up. So the proper way t say this is triangle RST is congruent to ZYX not XYZ.
